Sofa on fire?

Sofa on fire?

These pictures were taken on behalf of EFRA for a test burn programme in the Netherlands. The objective was to demonstrate the ignition of upholstery without an ignition performance in comparison to UK upholstery with an ignition performance requirement.

Typically, a fireman present in all his fine FIREPROOF clothing nonchalantly sat down on the sofa (without ignition performance, needless to say) but then the effect of the ignition on such an article seems to taken his sang froid by surprise.

No firemen were hurt in the making of these pictures.
